Planning begins for 2004 Memory Walk

This year’s campaign got off to a running start when committee members met on June 30. Memory Walk 2004 will take place Saturday, Oct. 2. Each year the committee’s goal is to be bigger and better than the previous year. This year for the first time, the runners will be timed and there will be a prize for the first man and woman to cross the finish line.

Additional incentives are another new thing this year. In the past, anyone making a donation of $50 would receive an official Memory Walk t-shirt. That remains true. However, this year, a pedometer will be given for donations of $51-$499; a sport watch for donations of $500-$999 and a picnic backpack to anyone contributing over $1,000.

Teams are being formed now so anyone interested in organizing their own team should contact either Natalie White at 770-719-9010 or Nelda Wright at 770-632-9162 right away.
