Police briefsRome boy arrested for aggravated child molestation in PTC incidentPeachtree City police arrested a 14-year-old Rome boy last week for aggravated child molestation in connection with an incident that occurred here. Although details of the allegations have not been released, police said similar charges were filed against the same child last year. The suspect received a two-year probation sentence in that case, which was adjudicated in Floyd County because state law required it be held in the county where the suspect resided. The second case against the suspect was opened after detectives came up with more information about the suspect in recent days and weeks, police said. PTC teen charged with burglary, entering autoA 15-year-old Peachtree City juvenile was charged last week with three counts of burglary and two counts of entering an auto for stealing golf clubs and other items from unlocked or open garage doors, police said. The suspect was allegedly paying friends to pawn golf clubs and other items he obtained from the burglaries, police said. Detectives expect additional arrests and charges to be filed in connection with the case. Caldwell Jr. to begin serving a five-year sentence on July 30 at 5 p.m., according to court documents. Gray didnt actually report until August 3, jail officials said. North Fayette man arrested for striking childA north Fayette man has been arrested for punching a 13-year-old boy in the face on July 22. Willie Kenyada Terry Jr., 21, was arrested last week for one felony count of cruelty to children. A $3,000 bond was set by Fayette County Magistrate Robert A. Ruppenthal. The charges were brought by the boys mother, who sought an arrest warrant against him, according to court documents.
