Freedom Medical offers new choice in home healthcare

A new concept home healthcare showroom has opened at Hudson Plaza shopping center. Freedom Medical company president Bill Talley says “Our company was founded to fill the needs of an underserved market segment. The baby boom generation is aging, and many of us are now serving as caregivers for elderly parents as well. There are many great new products out there that will make our lives easier. Freedom Medical provides not only mobility solutions, but a showcase for a multitude of home health products.”

The 3,400 square foot retail showroom features a wide array of merchandise in a warm and welcoming setting.

Scooters and power wheelchairs are displayed along with colorful canes, walkers, and rolling walkers in a wide variety of styles. A large selection of upholstered lift and recline chairs invites shoppers to “try before you buy”.

Adjustable beds, special pillows and bed wedges are featured comfort items along with a large selection of assistive devices. Hot and cold therapy and in-stock Orthopedic braces and supports benefit the “weekend warriors” among us.

Medical grade support hosiery for men and women are featured.

Bath safety is an important consideration in any home. Vice president Lisa Hovey-King is quoted “Sixty percent of falls occur in the home, and the majorities happen in the bathroom. A serious fall can very literally cost an elderly or frail person their life. Adding simple safety measures like a bath or shower chair, grab bars and a toilet safety frame can help avoid a tragedy.”

The necessity of stair climbing often causes people with knee problems or the elderly to leave their family home even if they don’t want to. Freedom Medical sells and installs attractive stair glide systems which can add safety, comfort and value to a home. Wheelchair lifts and ramp systems are also available.
