One tackle coming right up... Whitewater HS FootballWhitewater High School is the only football team in the county that has the benefit of not losing any players from last year's squad to graduation. In fact, they not only kept all of their starters from last year, they now have a freshman class to add to their roster. Last year, Whitewater High School played a junior varsity schedule with a team made up of freshmen. The team went 10-1. Their only loss, a 26-0 shutout, came against Luella in the second week of the season. After that the Wildcats went on a 9-0 run, getting revenge on Luella in the seventh week, winning 37-12. Whitewater outscored their opponents 331-82 last year, with much of their offense coming from a string rushing attack. The Wildcats gained 2,676 yards on the ground, averaging 243.27 yards a game. The Whitewater defense was also very stout. Not only did they hold opponents to 778 yards rushing and 458 yards passing, but they had 24 sacks and five interceptions.
