Groundbreaking for new church set for later this monthBraelinn Church is ready to break ground on its new campus, which now totals 94 acres bordered by Ga. Highway 74 and Dogwood Trail near the Peachtree City limits. The groundbreaking ceremony is Sunday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. The initial phase of construction will provide a 12,000 sq. ft., 600-seat multiuse worship facility. The master plan for the Dogwood facility calls for a permanent 1,500-seat worship center (phase II), childrens theater, student ministries complex, and dedicated facilities for Braelinn Community Services. The initial multiuse facility will eventually serve as Braelinns sports outreach center. Our vision for the future demands that we facilitate the growth of our church. We believe God wants us to reachÊFayette and Coweta counties with the good news of Jesus Christ by providing culturally relevant, Biblically sound, needs-meeting, Christ-honoring ministries. Its the dream of an ever-increasing gathering of worshippers who celebrate Gods presence together each week, said Braelinn senior pastor Keith Moore. We need to be able to provide a facility large enough for huge worship celebrations. And we envision these as being culturally relevant with drama, celebration arts, instrumentalists, and vocalists. In pursuit ofÊBiblical community, we hope to provide settings where relationships can be initiated, built and strengthened. Settings like gathering places with a food court, atriums, recreation facilities and gardens...places to sit and eat together, play together, even take walks together. Details of Braelinns transition plan may be viewed at www.braelinn.org/dogwood. The public is cordially invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
