Wedding and Engagement Announcements

Walker-Moore

Mr. and Mrs. Harvell Jackson Walker Jr. of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Ashley Walker, to Brian Merrell Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Merrell Moore of Fayetteville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Wesson Potts Sr. of Florence, Ala., and Mrs. Mildred Bullard Walker, also of Florence, Ala., and the late Harvell Jackson Walker. A 1999 graduate of Counterpane High School, she attended Auburn University where she majored in secondary English education and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She currently teaches English education at Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Hewlette Harrell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Chandler Moore of Fayetteville. A 1997 graduate of Fayette County High School, he attended the University of Georgia where he majored in economics and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He currently is employed as an operations manager with Fairburn Ready Mix.

Following a late September wedding, the couple will reside in Senoia.
