Fayette Democrats unveil Web siteThe Fayette County Democratic Committee has launched its new Web site at www.fayettedemocrat.org. We are thrilled to now have a presence on the Web, said Fayette County Democratic Committee Vice Chair Karen Kilgo. This is a first for Fayette Democrats. The site features information for Fayette County residents on a variety of topics, including meeting times and places for the Fayette Democratic Party as well as information about FCDCs sister organization, the Fayette Democratic Women. Also featured is current information about the Democratic Party of Georgia. Links and biographical information for all Democratic candidates in Fayette County can also be found in the meet the candidates section of the site. Additional links are available for the Democratic Party of Georgia, Democratic National Committee, Kerry/Edwards campaign, 2004 Democratic Party Platform as well as other general links. The site is also highlighting all the latest news of the 2004 campaigns on the local, state, and national level. Citizens will also find information on registering to vote in Fayette County. Its our goal to ensure that Fayette County residents are informed and educated about the issues that are vitally important in the upcoming election, Kilgo said. This is just one of the many ways that the Fayette County Democratic Committee is working to involve and inform our friends and neighbors to make a positive difference in our community. The Web site was created by webmaster Mike Chancey of Fayetteville. Chancey is a member of the Fayette County Democratic Committee and is employed as a computer programmer.
