Cate wins top awards at Las Vegas video conventionNick Cate, President of Peachtree City-based Cate Video Services received two National Video Awards at the recent Home Video Studio, Inc. (HVSI) national convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to Cate, When Robert Hanley, CEO of HVSI announced our name from the 49 studios that attended the convention for outstanding work in Sports Scholarship Video and the award for Best Use of Music in a Photo/Video Keepsake, you cant imagine our excitement. When we entered these projects, we werent sure how they would be received as we know how talented other studios around the country are. Sports Scholarship Videos are meant to showcase talent to College Coaches and Athletic Directors. The video that won the award, represented a promising athlete in Fayette County, and the Best Use of Music award was from a Wedding Rehearsal/Dinner video. Subtlety and organization is the key in Sports Scholarship Videos. College Coaches and Athletic Directors simply do not have the time necessary to study the athletes in order to make the best decisions about recruitment. The least an athlete should do is put a portfolio of skills together in an organized fashion to help make it easier to get to the point and showcase their athletic talent. On the other hand, Keepsake videos are meant to be very entertaining, as well as to elicit good emotions and feelings towards loved ones in a given phase of life. Using HVSIs state-of-the-art technology, Cate Video is able to create personal keepsake videos that come to life with picture movement, live titles, graphics, animation, special effects, and narration to preserve memories of whatever the subject matter may be
