Young Lady Competes For the Miss Pre-Teen Atlanta Title
Jasmine Presha Farmer of Peachtree City was recently selected
to participate in Nationals 2004 Miss Pre-Teen Atlanta
pageant competition that will take place on August 15, 2004.
Jasmine submitted an application and took part in an interview
session that was conducted by Patty Neidert, this years
Atlanta Pageant Coordinator.
Jasmine will be competing, for her share of over $20,000.00
in scholarships, prizes, and specialty gifts that will be distributed
to contestants. Jasmine will be competing in the Miss Pre-Teen
division, one of three divisions that will have young ladies
between the ages of 10 and 19 competing in modeling routines
which include casual wear and formal wear. Most important, Jasmine
will display her personality and interviewing skills while interviewing
with this years Atlanta judging panel. Personality is the
number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all
phases of competition.
Jasmine is a 7th grade honor student at J.C. Booth Middle School
where she is a Jr. BETA Club member, the school chorus, and the
7th and 8th grade cheerleading squad. Jasmine has danced for
the last five years at the Peachtree City School of Dance under
the direction of Mrs. Kathy Senger alongside being a member of
Girl Scout Troop 74. Jasmine has also participated in large scale
events such as the 2003 Disney World Parade. Jasmine is also
a member of the Fayette County Jack and Jill Tween Group and
Flat Rock A.M.E Church.
If Jasmine were to win the title of Miss Pre-Teen Atlanta,
she would represent Atlanta and the surrounding communities at
the Cities of America National Competition that will take place
in Orlando, Florida. Over $60,000.00 in prizes and awards will
be presented at the National competition while each winner enjoys
this expense paid trip of five nights and six days in Orlando,
Florida.
There is no cost to Jasmine for participating in the pageant
competition. Community businesses, organizations, and private
individuals will assist Jasmine in participating in this years
competition by becoming an official sponsor to her. Through sponsorship,
each contestant receives all the necessary training, rehearsals,
and financial support which allow Jasmine to become a very confident
and well-prepared contestant in this years Atlanta Pageant.
