Radio show to cover local high school footballFans of high school football can now carry over Friday nights excitement to Saturday afternoon. WVCC 720 AM will broadcast ChalkTalk Live, a high school football show presented by Velocity Sports Performance in Peachtree City. The show, hosted by Ted Rock Knapp and Pastor David Rocker, will feature scores, statistics, interviews, open lines, audio replays of GFriday night highlights, polls, predictions and more. Among the schools on the south side that will be covered will be all of the Fayette County and Coweta County high schools, Our Lady of Mercy, Landmark Christian and more. Knapp was previously a head football coach at Houston Christian High School. He has been a guest coach in both the NFL and CFL and was general manager and Head Coach of the Louisiana Bayou Beast of the Indoor Professional Football League in 2000. Rocker was a member of the Auburn Tigers football team that won three consecutive SEC championships before heading to the NFL and playing for the Los Angeles Rams. After his career in the NFL, Rocker dedicated his life to the ministry and also earned a degree from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. As a former high school football coach, I understand the passion that surrounds Friday night football games, stated Knapp. David and myself are excited about the opportunity to support the entire Southern Crescent high school football community. ChalkTalk Live will air Saturdays from noon-2 p.m. on 720AM, WVCC. For more information on the show or to suggest a story to them, e-mail tknapp@velocitysp.com.
