Summer concert series continuesEnglands Queen of Soul, Julie Dexter, will headline a free concert Saturday at the Dwayne Gatlin Golf Academy at 3520 Cascade Road, Atlanta. Also performing will be 12-year-old multi-talent Naomi Nichole and local bluesman Mr. Guitar. The show starts at 6 p.m. This triple treat of neo-soul/jazz, pop/R&B and blues is the latest in the South Fulton Good Things Road Show summer concert series. It is presented at various sites by District 7 Commissioner William Bill Edwards and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. Born in England of Jamaican parents, Dexter moves effortlessly from blues to funk, with broad appeals to reggae and hip-hop fans. Classically trained, this award-winning singer also writes, arranges, composes and produces her music. Nichole is a gifted singer, actress and model who has won numerous awards for her performances. Oklahoma native Mr. Guitar serves up blues and R&B often at East Points Liz and Lees Live.Ê To learn about August performers and concert sites in the Good Things Road Show series, call 404-730-5786, or visit www.fultonarts.org or www.myfultoncountyga.us. \ |
