Franklin Lowe, son of Rev. and Mrs. Jeff Lowe of Fayetteville,
recently won first place in a national poster contest sponsored
by the Sons of the American Revolution.ÊThe subject of the poster
was the First Continental Congress.Ê Franklin's poster was first
selected as the winner at Spring Hill Elementary School by the
Marquis de Lafayette chapterÊof the SAR.ÊIt was then entered
in the statewide competition.ÊAfter winning at the state level,
it was submitted to the national competition during the SAR National
Congress in Pittsburgh this month.Ê The first place win includes
a $300 prize.Ê
