Encounter Night of Worship series concludes tonight at Grace ChurchGrace Evangelical Church in Fayetteville will host the final Encounter Night of Worship event tonight from 7:30 Ð 9 p.m. Aimed primarily at high school and college students, the event will conclude the Encounter 04 summer series that began June 2. The purpose of this summer ministry event was to provide an opportunity for the body of Christ to come together and join hearts and lives to the glory of God, said Jason Lohse, Encounter Now co-founder. God has birthed this vision in the hearts of many student ministers and workers to see a greater Kingdom work in our area. The night of worship has been described as an energy-filled worship experience designed to appeal to high school and college students. Some 300 students per week have been gathering for a time of worship, engaged prayer and relevant teaching. Students have been encouraged to deepen their faith and strengthen their walk with Jesus Christ, added Randy Bruno, director of the Atlanta Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Encounter Now co-founder. This summers guest speakers have all been ministers from Fayette County churches and have included: Jason Lohse, New Hope Baptist Church; Keith Brown, Crosspointe Community Church; Matt Blackmon, Flat Creek Baptist Church; Jim Battles, Fayetteville First Baptist Church; Jim Garner, Peachtree City First Baptist Church; Nikki Rach, Christ our Shepherd Lutheran Church; John Warnock, Braelinn Baptist Church; and Steve Geyer, Heritage Christian Church. Tonights speaker will be Andrew Hill from Grace Evangelical Chuch. Lohse added, The summer theme was Christ In Me. Our desire has been to help students understand who they are now because of Christ and how they can live from this new identity to the glory of God. Grace Evangelical Church is at 164 Flat Creek Trail, between Ga. Hwy. 54 and Tyrone Road, about halfway between Fayetteville and Peachtree City. All high school and college students in the area are encouraged to attend.
