The new Limbaugh
By Dr Knox Herndon Life is very interesting. One starts out to do good and write an article to open a few minds, share the faith, and to tell the truth and then when it hits some poeple they seriously can't handle it. This past week an opinion editorial was written indicating that I was intent on being Fayette's own version of Rush Limbaugh. I haven't had a compliment like that in some time, and then there was the swipe that my good will and Christian fellowship well was dry and that I wallowed in the pigsty of Republican smear politics. It is interesting how in the Clinton presidency we had scandal after scandal which, in my opinion, brought the office of the White House to an all-time low, or should I say, a pig sty. Then there was a swipe at the very factual account of the gallant men who served with John Kerry in Viet Nam and did not accept the premises of his leftist anti-American book that attempted to smear their honored names as they defended out country. I personally knew some of those men and I would trust what they say certainly over someone who would ally his politics with the likes of Ted Kennedy and Hanoi Jane. While we are on the subject, she should just now be getting out of prison for her treasonous acts against our country and our POWs. The only reason she was not brought up on charges was because of her high profile and her money that she made, in the United States of America, I might add. Then there was the swipe at the fact that I thought Hillary would get the nomination. The convention is not over yet! Then there was the swipe about my church in Senoia not liking liberals and Hillary Clinton. For once we agree on something 100 percent. And while we are on the subject of churches and their roles in America's politics, churches were right in the middle of the formation of this country, The Revolutionary War, The Constitution, The Civil War, WWI, WWII, and The Civil Rights Movement, as they should be. While I'm on the subject, our church is not nicely landscaped and we don't have a sign that says anything about liberals or Hillary. We just have a sign that says, "Get thee behind me."
