ObituariesDora Mae Jones Dora Mae Jones, 80, Peachtree City, died June 30, 2004. She was born Sept. 5, 1923, the daughter of Henry Edward and Lillie Mae Morris Burge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron K. Jack Jones Jr., and a son, Byron Edward Jones. She had lived in Peachtree City for the past 32 years and was a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, Coweta County. Services were at the Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Ayers, and the Rev. Ken Hamilton officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Carol and Hugh Patton, Sharpsburg; grandsons, Kyle Jones, and Mathew Jones, both of Alpharetta; a granddaughter, Jaime and Charlie Beigle, Sharpsburg; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Beigle. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, Hogansville, was in charge. Dolores J. Holland Dolores J. Holland, 75, Griffin, died July 9, 2004. She was born Feb. 21, 1929 in Sapulpa, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marybell Webb, bothers, Frank Webb Jr., and Harold Webb, sisters, Louise, Pearl, Lola, Doris Jean, and Edwina; and a son, Bradford. Services were at the Fayetteville Christian Church with the Rev. Daniel Overdorf officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, Richard Holland, Griffin; sons, Phil Holland, Sterling, Colo., Mike Holland, Festus, Mo., Mark Holland, Philadelphia, Pa., and Terry Holland, Senoia; daughters, Cindy and Richard Sellards, Fayetteville, and Tammy Parton, Senoia; brothers, Dick Webb, Eddie Webb, and Carl Webb; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Preston Loyd Cheatwood Preston Loyd Cheatwood, 56, Fayetteville, died July 11, 2004. He was born Nov. 1, 1947 in Fulton County. He was a United States Army veteran in the Vietnam War. He loved old cars and motorcycles, and was retired from BellSouth after 30 years of service. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Berry Thompson officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Moore Cheatwood, Fayetteville; a son, Josh Cheatwood, Atlanta; a daughter, Amanda Cheatwood, Fayetteville; a granddaughter, Sydney Wagner; in-laws, Wyatt and Duane Moore, Fayetteville. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. John A. Lindsey The Rev. John A. Lindsey, 81, Fayetteville, died July 12, 2004. He was born Sept. 18, 1912 in Dallas, Ga. He served 3 years in the United States Marine Corps, 13 months of which was spent in the South Pacific Theatre. After the service, he attended Middle Georgia College, Cochran, where he was noted Mr. Middle Georgia College. In 1948 he accepted his call to the ministry. He was graduated from Asbury College in 1952 and graduated from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 1955. He served nine appointments during his ministry. Services were t the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Pilgrim, the Rev. Maria Wells, and the Rev. John Minter officiating. Interment was at Dallas Memory Gardens, Dallas, Ga. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Betty McGarity Lindsey, whom he married 1949; sons, John Brian and Nancy S. Lindsey, and Benjamin McGarity Lindsey, all of Fayetteville; and five grandchildren. Mae Combs Coleman Mae Combs Coleman, 82, Fayetteville, died July 13, 2004. She was born July 1, 1922 in Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Coleman. Graveside services were at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Chilhowie, Va. Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Bingham, Fayetteville; a sister, Amanda Antle, Columbus, Ind.; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Jewell LaDonna Drennan Jewell LaDonna Drennan, 44, Fayetteville, died July 14, 2004. She was born Sept. 28, 1939 in Fulton County. Services were at New Hope Baptist Church South Campus with the Rev. Hugh Kirby and Rick Davison officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, J. Robert Drennan, Fayetteville; a son, Chance Drennan, Fayetteville; a daughter, Whitney Drennan, Fayetteville; Mother, Marie Smith, Fayetteville; brothers, Chip and Terri Smith, and Heath Smith, all of Fayetteville; a sister, Kim and Jimmy Jones, Fayetteville; and beloved pet, Maxie. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. James Perry Lewis Jr. James Perry Lewis Jr., 85, Fayetteville, died July 14, 2004. He was born April 28, 1919 in Alabama. He served as a captain in the United States Army in World War II. He was retired from Norfolk Southern with 45 years of service. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Lions Club and the Kiwanis Club. After retirement he volunteered at the United States Archives in East Point. He was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist Church where he served as a greeter. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City, with military honors. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Katherine Lewis, Fayetteville; a son, Doug Lewis, Atlanta; a daughter, Shirley and Tommy Vinson, Fayetteville; a grandson, Rusty Vinson; granddaughter, Jennifer and Tom Hill; a great-grandson, T. J. Hill; nephews, Cecil and Betty Trainer, Spartanburg, S. C. ,and Fred and Margaret Trainer, Knoxville; and a niece, Sylvia and Ron Mazeau, Orlando, Fla. Carl J.
