Scarbrough elected president of utility trade association

The Georgia Utility Contractors Association, Inc. recently elected Fayetteville's Brent Scarbrough of Brent Scarbrough & Company, Inc. as the 2004-2005 GUCA President at the 2004 Annual Conference in Point Clear, Alabama.

He has been actively involved in GUCA through his company since 1993. During this time he has served on various committees, including the GUCA Political Action Committee, Finance Committee and Personnel Committee. Scarbrough also coordinates and participates in several GUCA community service projects each year.

He was the recipient of the 1999-2000 GUCA Contractor Member of the Year award for his dedication to the association and giving back to the community. Brent Scarbrough & Company, Inc. was awarded with the Hard Hat Safety Award in 1997 for the company's outstanding efforts to create and maintain safety standards. In addition, Brent Scarbrough & Company, Inc. was the recipient of the GUCA Contractor Star Partner of the Year award for 2003-2004.
