Woman arrested for shooting at 2 in car in Wynnmeade subdivisionBy JOHN MUNFORD
Two Peachtree City women escaped harm Friday afternoon when six shots were fired at their car when they drove off from a residence in the Wynnmeade subdivision, police said. One of the shots pierced the taillight of the victims vehicle and another may have struck the bumper, said Police Chief James Murray The victims had driven to 106 Kings Ridge Dr. at the request of another woman, Robin Williams, who wanted them to pick up her children, Murray said. When the victims got to the home, there was a brawl outside and the victims decided to leave without the kids, Murray said. Police said the shots were fired by Kenyatta Quanterz Jennings, 25, as the victims drove off. Jennings also lives at 106 Kings Ridge Dr. and the house appeared as if it was set up for multiple renters, which is being investigated, Murray said. Jennings was charged with three counts of felony aggravated assault, two counts of felony cruelty to children in the first degree (because two children witnessed the assault), one count of making terroristic acts and one misdemeanor count of pointing a pistol at another, police said. A Newnan woman, Crystal Kearse Shantelle, 20, was arrested in connection with the incident for obstruction of a police officer. A police report indicated she did not willfully forward information to officers investigating the incident.
