Golf cart bully charged with battery

A 15-year-old Peachtree City boy was arrested Tuesday for pushing an 11-year-old boy off his bike from a moving golf cart, police said.

The victim was injured after the suspect pushed him to the ground when the golf cart passed by the biker on the cart path near Kedron Drive south, police said. The 15-year-old suspect was charged with battery, police said.

The driver of the golf cart, also a 15-year-old Peachtree City resident, was charged with reckless driving and DUI after he registered a .06 on the breathalyzer test, police said. Two other 15-year-old passengers on the cart — both of whom live in Peachtree City — were charged with underage possession of alcohol, police said.

The incident occurred just before 6 p.m.
