Newnans Quail Ridge Farm kicked off summer with a bang
at its Memorial Day Show, May Dayz Classic. The 35 acre hunter-jumper
farm is in full swing and preparing to host the Dog Dayz Classic
on July 31, 2004. The show begins at 9 a.m. and is open to the
general public with no admission charge. The Show Series is designed
for beginner and intermediate riders, but all are invited to
attend. The youngest competitor at this time is 3 and the most
mature of the group is a young 53.
The farm plays host to a total of four regular hunter/jumper
schooling shows and a final. The final show in the Classic Show
series will be held November 6. The final show is the only show
in the series in which an admission fee is charged and 100 percent
of the proceeds will be donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric
AIDS Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Competitors are encouraged to pre-enter by July 28. However,
entries will be accepted the day of the show. Dog Dayz Classic
