St. Andrew’s youth group plans summer activities

Don Pope, St. Andrew’s in-the-Pines Episcopal Church youth minister, and his wife, Lisa, are coordinating a variety of summer activities for the youth of the church. Activities include community outreach projects, fund raising events, and recreational activities.

The Popes and the youth of St. Andrew’s welcome all youth of the area to join them.

Last week, the group prepared an Italian feast and delivered it to the Georgia Baptist Group Home of Fayetteville. After the meal the group enjoyed a game of basketball with the young residents.

Upcoming events include “Pizza with the Popes,” a pizza party hosted by Don and Lisa, and “Reality Seven,” an interdenominational outreach program on July 15. The participants will be treated to a “lock down” including basketball, skating and food at the South Lake Athletic Club, Morrow.
