Patterson joins Glenn campaignNew York Times best-selling author and retired Air Force officer Robert Buzz Patterson (www.buzzpatterson.com), a Fayette County resident, joined the campaign of Republican Dylan Glenn as a member of Glenns Veterans Advisory Committee. Patterson, who retired as a lieutenant colonel, formerly served as a military aide in the Clinton White House, where his firsthand observations led to his best-selling book, Deriliction of Duty: The Eyewitness Account of How Bill Clinton Compromised Americas National Security. His latest book, Reckless Disregard: How Liberal Democrats Undercut Our Military, Endanger Our Soldiers, and Jeopardize Our Security, is due out this summer. I would like to thank Buzz Patterson for his service to our country, as well as for his support for my campaign, said Glenn during a recent press conference outside City Hall in Peachtree City. Im proud to have you as a member of my campaign and of my Advisory Committee. Patterson, a resident of Fayette County since his retirement, also endorsed Glenns campaign to succeed outgoing U.S. Rep. Mac Collins. A frequent guest of talk shows across the country, Patterson is a respected voice of the conservative movement in America. As a member of the Veterans Advisory Committee, Patterson joins nine other retired officers and enlisted men that draw upon their combined decades of military service to provide Glenn with advice on veterans issues as well as military matters like the war on terror. Last week, Glenn received the endorsement of former Deputy Secretary of Veterans Affairs Dr. Leo Mackay, who also joined the Veterans Advisory Committee. Dr. Mackay served as second-in-command at the Department of Veterans Affairs to Secretary Anthony Principi. A Columbus native, Glenn is a former special assistant to President George W. Bush for economic policy, and most recently served as deputy chief of staff to Georgias first modern Republican Governor, Sonny Perdue.
