ObituariesBetty Dollar Kneece Betty Dollar Kneece, 61, Fayetteville, died June 18, 2004. She was born April 13, 1943, in Albany, daughter of the late L. and Collie Mae Darley Dollar Sr. She was the owner and manager of Rainbow Pool Supply, Fayetteville, and was co-founder and owner of Fayette Polls Inc, later Grand Pools Inc. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Tommy Wooten, and the Rev. Gerald Reed officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include her husband, Grover, Kneece; daughters, Susan and Zack Stallings, and Michele and David Petty; grandchildren, Josh Petty, Emily Stallings, Lauren Petty, and Rebecca Stallings, all of Fayetteville; brothers, Bobby Dollar, Pelham, C. L. Dollar Jr., Charles Dollar, and Robert Dollar, all of Albany, Ronnie Dollar, Sasser, and Johnnie and Georgia Dollar, Casa Grande, Ariz. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. Phoebe Trenholm Rose Phoebe Trenholm Rose, 87, Knoxville, died June 23, 2004. She was born Aug. 17, 1916 in Pruden, Tenn. She was a graduate of the College of Home Economics at the University of Tennessee, where she had been president of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Memorial services were at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. John Sheldon officiating. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Fred A. Rose; daughters, Anne and David Bo Wheeler, Pikeville, Tenn., Gail and Bobby Beech, Lewisburg, Tenn., and Alice and Jimmy Watkins, Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, including Jason and Ashley Watkins, and Matthew Mahathey, all of Fayetteville; two great-grandchildren; one sister, one nephew, and two nieces. Graveside services were at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City, with the Pastor John Weber officiating. Survivors include his wife, Doris Causey OHair, Fayetteville; daughters, Connie and J. C. Phillips, Griffin, and Rhonda OHair, Mississippi; a granddaughter, Kay and Chris Sheppard, Stapleton; and great-great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Sheppard, and Lawson Sheppard. Carl J. She was born Nov. 26, 1917 in Sharpsburg, daughter of Richard Talmadge and Georgia Bowden Moses. She was a retired medical technologist. Services were at Turin Baptist Church with the Rev. Haco Von Hacke officiating. Interment was at Sharpsburg Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Charles Knobler; a son, Donald G. Knobler, Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Dr. Carla H. Knobler, Peachtree City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. Doris G. Horlacher Doris G. Dottie Horlacher, 81, Canton, died June 27, 2004. She was born Jan. 5, 1923 in Alvenville, Mass. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Horlacher, and a daughter, Peggy Jean Askew. Services were at the Cherokee Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, Canton, Ga., with Father Caffrey officiating. Survivors include a son, Gary and Teresa M. She was born Jan. 11, 1929, daughter of the late John and Geneive Gaul McNally. She was a retired educator. A funeral mass was at St. Matthews Catholic Church, Tyrone, with Father Vick officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Dietle, Peachtree City; a son, Jim and Lisa Dietle, Pasadena, Calif.; and daughters, Jan and David Jack, Irvine, Calif., and Judy and Craig Drum, Peachtree City. McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge. Gerald Lee Whitmer Gerald Lee Whitmer, 77, Peachtree City, major, United States Army retired, died June 29, 2004. He was born Aug. 18, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley chapel, with remains interred at Arlington National Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth Whitmer; children, Carolyn, Philip, Anne, Christine, and Stephen; six grandchildren; and a sister, Annalee Harrison. Survivors include a daughter, Jean and Bill Choate, Fayetteville; a grandson, Bryan Choate, Atlanta; a brother, John Q. and Martha Addison, Memphis, Tenn.; and a sister, Judy Tattersail, Memphis, Tenn.
