Neck-and-neck racing action dominates at Senoia SpeedwayIn the Allen Vigil Ford 40 lap Pro Late Model feature, Korey Ruble jumped out front on the first lap, followed by: Roger Delp, Ronny Kittle, and Mark Bickers.ÊOn lap 11, caution was displayed when Matt Hawkins experienced a flat tire and was forced to enter the pits for the attention of his crew. When Hawkins reentered the speeedway, the field was taking the one-to-go sign. When racing resumed, Ruble continued to show the way, while Delp closed the gap on his lead. When the white flag was displayed, Delp was placing the nose of his machine to the inside of Ruble, which resulted in a near photo finish at the line as the two drivers took the checkered flag. Kittle drove a consistent race and continued to maintained the third place position. Matt Hawkins battled back to take fourth and Hunter Robbins took the fifth place position. In the Aarons Pro Challenge 50 lap National event, Terry Mathis established the fastest lap in qualifying, then set out to dominate the contest. However, Mathis would receive an impressive challenge in the early laps of the event from Kyle Mitchell; until Mitchell experienced mechanical problems on lap 26 and was forced to enter the pits. Mathis would continue to show the way as Ken Butler advanced into the second place position during the final laps, with Mathis taking the win. Mathis and Butler were followed by: M. Dryer, Kyle Kennedy and Nancy Hardwick rounding out the top five finishing order. In the Bandolero 15 lap feature, Vince Ponder Jumped out front early in the event, followed by Bre Sharp, Trey Hull and Chase Moody. Ponder would continue to show the way while Sharp was forced to withdraw from the contest on lap 13 because of mechanical difficulties. Ponder would go on to take the win, followed by: Moody, Hull, Joshua Crawley and D. Long. The 25 lap Legend Cars feature thrilled the crowd when Jeremy kalina, Casey Tate and Bubba Harry battled door-to-door for the first three laps of the event, with Kalina finally gaining the advantage. With Kalina showing the way, several caution flags were displayed as drivers battled for position back through the field which resulted in contact and spins. Kalina would maintain the lead and take the win, followed by: Harry, Chris Cable, Tate and Spencer Mosley. In the Sportsman 25 lap feature, Bob Yarbrough jumped out front on the first lap and lead the event from flag-to-flag to take the win.Ê Trey White ran an aggressive race and appeared to be closing on Yarbrough when he was challenge for the second place position by Andy Cash.Ê Yarbrough would continue to show the way and take the win, followed by: Andy Cash, White, Danny Gosdin and Jody Cash.Ê In the Larrys New and Used Tires Modified Street Stock 25 lap feature, Larry Pierce, Sr., jumped out front early in the event, followed by: Steve Barker, Sammy Short and David Seaman. On lap five, Barker made a run on Pierce, Sr., and took over the lead. Seaman had advanced into the third place position by lap 14 and was closing on Pierce, Sr., for second place.Ê On lap 20, Seaman would nose by Pierce, Sr., followed by Short. Short would make the pass for the second place position on lap 23, as Barker held on to the lead and captured the win. Racing action at Senoia Speedway will take place on Sunday, July 4.
