ObituariesWarrie D. Wilder Warrie D. Wilder, 77, Locust Grove, died June 15, 2004. She was born Oct. 18, 1926 in Monticello, Fla. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Hugh Kirby officiating. Survivors include a son, Arthur David Wilder, Locust Grove; daughters, Jeanette and Michael York, Fayetteville, and Doris and Dans Scoggins, Atlanta; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, C. J. Wilder, Monticello, Fla.; and sisters, Gladys Bell, Gainesville, Fla., Kathryne Newell, Jacksonville, Fla., and Molly McMurian, Dublin, Ga. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge. Frances Odene Ingram Frances Odene Ingram, 86, Peachtree City, formerly of Powder Springs, died June 15, 2004. She was active in the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Services were at the Roy Davis Funeral Home chapel with interment at Powder Springs City Cemetery. Survivors include sons, Charles and Ellen Ingram, Peachtree City, and Wenton and Bobbi Ingram, Piedmont, Ala.; a daughter, Joyce Satterfield, Powder Springs; a brother, David Dupree, Columbus, Tenn.; a sister, Yvonne Touchton, Douglas; a grandson, Russell Ingram, Peachtree City; six grandchildren; six great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild. Roy Davis Funeral Home, Austell, was in charge. Lennie M. Nall Lennie M. Nall, 94, Fayetteville, died June 17, 2004. She was born Nov. 28, 1909 in Baxley. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roson Nall. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Maria Wells officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Armilla N. Smith Armilla N. Smith, 77, Peachtree City, died June 20,2004. She was born Nov. 16, 1926 in Lakeland, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. L. Smith Jr. She was retired with 31 years of service with the Bank of America. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley chapel with the Rev. Julia Crim officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn, College Park. Survivors include sons, Robert E. Gene Smith, and Homer L. Smith, both of Peachtree City; a daughter, Gail Slaton, Newnan; grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Courtney Smith, Kim Dieckhoner, Stacy Lovell, Britney Smith, Joshua Floyd, Adam Floyd, and Rachael Sells; great-grandchildren, Grace and Ellie Dieckhoner, Jacob and Parker Floyd, and Mason Sells; a brother, Jimmy Nance, Florala, Ala.; and a sister, Lorraine Garrett, Shalimar, Fla. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge. Ruth Geraldine Bottoms Ruth Geraldine Bottoms, 87, Peachtree City, died June 21, 2004. She was born Feb. 14, 1917 in Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Milton Abram and Maria Louisa Ramirez Quinones Hill. Her father was a general in the United States Army, and she lived in many places while growing up. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Bottoms. They met when her father was stationed in Puerto Rico and married June 1, 1939. He was in the United States Navy and they were married for 63 years. They had moved to Peachtree City in 1977. Memorial services were at St. Andrews in-the-Pines Episcopal Church, Peachtree City, with the Rev. Father Dan Brigham officiating. Survivors include a son, John Jack W. and Carolyn Bottoms Jr.; daughters, Carolyn Marie Coe, and Christine Ann and John Niehaus; a brother, Milton and Sally Hill, Santa Barbara, Calif.; grandchildren, Tab A. and Leigh Bottoms, Linda Carol Bottoms, Mark Alden and Lori Coe, and Amanda and Davis Niehaus; and great-grandchildren, Bradley and Caitlin Coe. Memorial services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Joel Richardson officiating. Survivors include parents, Glenn and Alice Bexley, Newnan; brothers, Bill and Cathy Bexley, Bob and Daye Bexley; and nephews, Brett Bexley, David Bexley, Robert Bexley, and Tyler Coggin, all of Peachtree City. Grace May Hartwick Grace May Hartwick, 88, Peachtree City, died June 22, 2004. She was born March 11, 1916 in Hillsdale, N. J. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence G. Hartwick. Graveside services were at Westwood Cemetery, Bergen, N. J. Survivors include a son, Larry and Cathy Hartwick, Ringwood, N. J.; a daughter, Linda and Russell Gariota, Peachtree City; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Beatrice Ketchell, Queensbury, N. Y. He was born Aug. 25, 1915 in Brooks, Fayette County, the son of James Jim Benjamin and Elizabeth Lois Jones Woods. He was president of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce in 1977 and 1978. Graveside services were at the Brooks Memorial Cemetery, Brooks. A grandson, the Rev. Charles W. Walden Jr. officiated. Survivors include a son, John P. Woods Jr., Cashiers, N. C.; a daughter, Grace Walden, Atlanta; a brother, James Woods, Atlanta; a sister, Martha W. Glisson, Atlanta; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Carl J. She was born June 27, 1924 in Fayette County, the daughter of James Franklin and Carrie Lee Bartley Gray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lee Finch. She was graduated from Fayette County High School and Greenleaf College of Business. She worked as paralegal her entire career. Services were at the Carmichael-Hemperley chapel with interment at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include sons, Randy and Patricia Finch, Peachtree City, and Don Finch, Woodstock; grandsons, Rhett Finch, Peachtree City, and Eric and Anita Finch, Silver Spring, Md.; a sister, Martha Gray and J. Lois Irene Thornton Lois Irene Thornton, 82, Atlanta, died June 25, 2004. She was born Dec. 8, 1921 in Fulton County. She was a past member of College Park Eastern Star, a supervisor for Southern Bell for 35 years, and taught computer programming for IBM. She was a past member of New Hope Baptist Church and a present member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, Atlanta. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Bill Boggan officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include sons Mr. and Mrs. William A. Thornton Jr., Gray Court, S. C., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert K. Thornton, Fayetteville; a daughter, Betty and Charles Beasley, Atlanta; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Carl J.
