The Atlanta Hawks will host its 2004 NBA Draft Viewing Party
next Thursday and everyone in Atlanta is welcome.
Fans of all ages
are invited to the ESPN Zone restaurant June 24 for fun, games,
contests, prizes, celebrity appearances and
much more.
The festivities, sponsored by Bud Light, tip off at
7 p.m.
Admission is free and open to the general public.
Currently,
the Hawks own the sixth and 17th overall selections in the first
round, in addition to three second round picks. The
6th choice represents the Hawks highest draft position since
2001.
Special celebrity guests are slated to be in attendance,
including Hawks alumni like Jim Washington and Herb White, among
others. The
Hawks Dance Team and mascot SkyHawk will also be on hand posing
for pictures and signing autographs, while WCNN 680 The Fans Guys
Night Out show is set to broadcast all of the draft night
proceedings live from the ESPN Zone.
Fans will have the opportunity
to win a number of great prizes, including a 27-inch Philips Electronics
television, by participating
in various contests throughout the night.
The 2004 NBA Draft will
be broadcast live on ESPN from The Theatre at Madison Square Garden
in New York City. Coverage begins at 7
p.m.

who have been chosen as the sixth overall pick include the Grizzlies Shane
Battier (2001), Minnesotas
Wally Szczerbiak (1999) and the Mavericks Antoine Walker
(1996). The 17th selection has brought the likes of Milwaukees
Desmond Mason (2000), Jermaine ONeal of the Pacers (1996)
and the Kings Doug Christie (1992).
