Housing Fair set Wednesday in FultonPersons in the market for a home can shop for lenders and realtors, and get advice about credit, during the Fulton County Annual Housing Fair, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. next Wednesday. Held in observance of National Homeownership Month, the fair will be in the Fulton County Government Center Atrium, 141 Pryor Street, SW, Atlanta. Representatives from approximately 20 agencies such as New South Federal Savings Bank, Washington Mutual Bank, Century 21, Prudential Georgia Realty, Habitat for Humanity, and Metro Fair Housing Services will be on hand with exhibits. Sponsored by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and the Community Housing Development Corporation (CHDC) of Fulton County, the fair is part of a national campaign by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and its partners to expand homeownership opportunities to more Americans, particularly minorities. Created in 1999 by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, the CHDC promotes a strategy of increased homeownership for all income levels in the County.
