Looking for a pet? Coweta County may have the answer

Beau needs a home.

For 14 years, the bloodhound was a key member of the Coweta County prison bloodhound team. Beau helped in numerous searches, and was an exemplary worker.

But now, according to Coweta County Public information Officer Tom Corker, it’s time for Beau to kick back and relax.

“We’re going to be taking applications for his new home until July 9,” Corker said.

After the application process is over, Corker said a committee will pick Beau’s new home.

Corker did say that Beau is up to date on all his shots, but is not neutered.

“He’s really a good dog, and will make an excellent pet for somebody,” Corker added.
