FSS needs summer volunteersFayette Senior Services is looking for summer volunteers to help with the needs of our senior population. Some of the organizations volunteers take the summer off and they need summer volunteers to take their place. The greatest needs are the Volunteer Drivers and Meals On Wheels programs. You can help by becoming a volunteer in one of the following programs: Volunteer Drivers. Drive seniors to medical appointments. You pick your on-call day, morning or afternoon. Trips are between two and four hours. Meals On Wheels. Deliver meals one day a week, one to two hours. Delivery starts around 11:15 a.m. Frozen Meal delivery. Deliver frozen meals one day per week. Openings on Thursdays and Fridays. Delivery starts around 10 a.m. Friendship Center. Help in the Center with games, crafts, activities and lunch from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. one day per week.
