Condtions cover screening, traffic and architecture of Kedron retail expansionThe laundry list of stipulations placed on approval of the conceptual site plan for the expansion of the Kedron Village retail center in Peachtree City covers a variety of issues. The 17 conditions were adopted by the City Council at its meeting Monday night with a unanimous vote to approve the conceptual site plan. Several of the conditions withhold approval for certain aspects of the plan, such as the curb cut at the western edge of the property along Georgian Park Drive. Also withheld was any approval that the citys greenspace requirement has been met, until city staff can validate the calculations. Also, the city will evaluate the need for screening once the final site plan is submitted to the city so staff can see the impact of the grading and retaining walls. Council is also requiring Faison Enterprises to develop an architectural program for all buildings in the retail center that must be approved by the city as part of the final site plan. Faison also cannot remove any trees on the site until a landscape plan for the expansion is approved. Another condition was to get rid of parking areas behind one of the stores on the plan, and another was to add speed tables and other traffic calming measures in front of the Target store. Faison was also asked to consider expanding the buffer along the western edge of the property to include a golf cart path, which would add more protection for homeowners at St. Simons Cove.
