Park ‘N Bark offers a solution for pet owners who travel

For pet owners, going on vacation requires a little more planning than people without man’s best friend. You have to find a kennel and coordinate your travel to fit in with the kennel’s hours of business. This can even mean having to drop puppy off a day early, or leaving her there an extra day because you couldn’t get to the kennel before it closed for the day.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a pet boarding facility with flexible hours and a convenient location, making your vacation plans just that much easier for you and your animal? That is what Sherri O’Neal thought when she, along with her husband Charles Loner, became co-owners of the Airport Park ‘N Bark Pet Resort in October of 2003.

Park ‘N Bark is a unique doggy daycare and pet boarding facility located near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Open seven days a week with hours from 5 am to midnight, customers are able to drop off and pick up their pets at the time that best suits them, an option very much appreciated by people with early flights or delayed arrivals.

“We wanted to give pet owners a different option and great alternative to other boarding facilities with very limited hours,” O’Neal says of the business. “Here, you can pick up or drop off your pet when most other places are closed.”

Not only does Airport Park ‘N Bark Pet Resort offer convenient hours, it also offers excellent and caring service. Dogs are taken outdoors a minimum of four time each day and receive plenty of attention. Special packages that include bathing or supervised group playtimes are also available.

Park ‘N Bark boards cats, dogs and caged critters. In addition to boarding, doggie daycare is available for those needing to drop off and pick up their dogs on the same day. Remember, reservations are required and proof of vaccinations is mandatory.

“I love to interact with the animals and enjoy spending my day with them,” O’Neal says. Both she and her husband, who have three dogs of their own, were detectives with the Atlanta Police Department before going into the pet care industry. They offer discounts all year to military, law enforcement and fire fighter personnel, as well as airline employees.
