The James McGuffey Nature Center in the Coweta County Fairgrounds Complex
at 275 Pine Road is now open daily for the enjoyment of Coweta County
residents. The center is now open every day except Monday, when it is
closed for maintenance. The Nature Center opens at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday
through Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday. It closes at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday
through Friday and 30 minutes before dusk Saturday and Sunday.
The McGuffey Nature Center contains some 3 miles of nature trails including
a handicapped trail. With interpretative signage and wetland delineation
markers, the center is not only a beautiful place to enjoy, but an educational
experience as well. Everyone is invited to come and experience nature
at its finest at the McGuffey Nature Center.
