Farewell event for Bethanys Outlaw plannedMembers of Bethany United Methodist Church will have a farewell covered dish dinner for the Rev. Mark Outlaw and his family Sunday, June 20, following the 11 a.m service. Outlaw will assume duties as pastor of Mt. Bethel UMC in McDonough the following week. Former Air Force One pilot to speak at FFUMC The Rev. Don Bowen, coordinator of the Methodist Prison Ministries and former co-pilot for Air Force One, will be the guest speaker at the Monday, June 21 meeting of the United Methodist Men of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. The meeting will be held from 7-8 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. A Chick-fil-A dinner will be served at a cost of $5 per person. There will be a short report but no business session. Tesh to perform at Jonesboro First Baptist Musician John Tesh, formerly with Entertainment Tonight, will be the special music guest at Jonesboros First Baptist Church Sunday, June 27, at both the 8 and 11 a.m. worship services. |
