Pritchett to speak at June meeting of PTC AglowMarietta resident Barbara Pritchett, presently president of the Northwest Georgia Area Aglow Board, will speak Monday, June 21, at the monthly meeting of Peachtree City Aglow. Pritchett has ministered to women in prison and transitional centers for the past 14 years, after she, herself, was incarcerated for nearly four years. In addition to being president of the Aglow board, Pritchett serves on the board of directors for the Georgia Prison Ministry Network. Since March of this year, she has co-led an Aglow sponsored Bible study at a Christian alcohol and drug recovery facility. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, one-quarter mile south of Ga. Hwy. 54, across from Peachtree City United Methodist Church. A free nursery will be provided. The purpose of its ministry is to change womens lives in neighborhoods, inner cities, workplaces, rural communities, prisons, jails, war-torn nations and refugee camps. Men and women of all religious backgrounds are welcome.The groups outreach ministry currently includes Heritage of Peachtree Independent and Assisted Living retirement community. |
