PTC gets grant for landscape enhancements on east Hwy. 54 Peachtree City has been awarded a grant from the Georgia Department of Transportation for landscape enhancements for east Ga. Highway 54, extending from Peachtree Parkway to the city limits. The DOT will fund $167,000 of the project with the city required to provide a matching amount of $33,000. City Planner David Rast said he will be able to design the project in-house which can be used to offset the amount of matching funds. The remainder of the money will likely come from the city’s public improvement program for the 2006 fiscal year, Rast said.
