LAVISH offers spa service in PTC

Have you ever gone to a spa where the robot-like esthetician reminded you of a rough looking Swedish female prison guard you saw once in a movie? And unfortunately, she was the one waxing your legs. Welcome to the world of skincare.

Jennifer Kelly, an esthetician and make-up artist, offers Fayette County residents an alternative to the painful impersonal spa experience with the opening of her new business LAVISH. Located just outside the southern tip of Peachtree City.

Jennifer graduated from The International School of Skin and Nail Care, in Atlanta, where she studied as an esthetician, and The Studio Makeup Academy, at Sunset and Gower Studios, in Hollywood, California, where she learned all aspects of make-up application.

LAVISH offers inexpensive, soothing beauty regimes that will become rituals clients will repeat. Jennifer cares about every aspect of her client’s facial and skincare regimen. She can help to rejuvenate your skin, while teaching you how to care for it at home.

“I like to start by getting to know the person’s skin type,” says Jennifer. “Then I strip away the dry dead skin to reveal their inner beauty, that glow that transforms their skin from average to exceptional, giving them the confidence to take care of it themselves.”

The idea for creating Lavish came to Jennifer after working in a spa environment for two years. Jennifer felt there was a need for a business in Fayette County that shared God’s love in a personal atmosphere, while at the same time helping to restore and release the beauty He’s given all of us. In addition, Jennifer wanted to add her own personalized approach to working with clients.

“I love going to Jennifer,” says Lisa O’Malley, a professional graphic designer. “She’s given me facials, waxed my brows and leg’s and did my make-up for a special event I was going to. I feel good about putting myself in her hands, she has that special touch that calms and relaxes you.”

Jennifer does facials and waxing of all body parts and make-up for all occasions from bridal to camera ready. In addition, she can also do personal makeovers and teach your teenage girl, or group of girls, the proper way to apply make-up, (saving you money on wasted cosmetic purchases). Plus, she has experience with all ethnicities.

Jennifer strives to enhance and reveal each individual’s unique beauty. Everything about your face, from your eyes to your lips, comes together to make you the special person you are. She focuses on that individuality, while customizing your facial and waxing treatments, or make-up application to your specific needs.

“What can I say, she made me beautiful,” says client Courtney Karluk. “She did magic, I wish I could carry her around in my purse. She helped to make my wedding day more special than I could’ve believed. I’ve never had so many compliments about my make-up, she was incredible.”

Jennifer uses high quality Aveda products for all her treatments. She also uses a wide range of make-up, but prefers to use professional make-up made by MAC Cosmetics when doing weddings.

Jennifer doesn’t just work with women, because men enjoy great skin, too. “There are many men in the Fayette County area who want to take care of their skin,” says Jennifer. “Men enjoy a relaxing facial just as much as women. In fact, men of all ethnicities and disciplines want to have a youthful appearance, too.”

“I went to Jennifer to get my back waxed, she did a great job,” says BK, a hip-hop recording artist. “There’s nothing wrong with a man wanting to maintain a high standard of appearance. Hey, we use personal trainers for our bodies, why not use an esthetician for the rest of our appearance.”

Jennifer ensures client privacy by making appointments that don’t overlap. When each client arrives, he or she is there alone, and Jennifer is able to give him or her individualized attention. “Nothing enhances my work more than the smile on a satisfied client’s face. It’s priceless,” says Jennifer.
