Gibbs named president

The Board of Directors of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce has unanimously voted to name Virginia Gibbs the new Chamber of Commerce President.

Gibbs has been acting as interim president since March 1, after the resignation of prior Chamber President Elissa Hall.

With over 22 years of industry experience in various business development capacities, Gibbs has elicited very positive response from the membership and the community during her Interim tenure.

The Board of Directors is particularly pleased to have the enthusiasm and professionalism that she brings to the Chamber. Her extensive experience in businessdevelopment, strategic planning, sales and marketing, and general businessmanagement was a key factor in her selection for this position.
