Flash ready for state meet

The Peachtree City Flash spring track team competed in the annual GRPA District Track Meet April 23-24. Six teams within the district competed for an opportunity to advance to the state track meet this weekend in Augusta.

Only the top two competitors in each event were able to advance to the state competition. The following PTC Flash members placed either first or second in their event and will be competing for a state title this weekend.

8 and under girls and boys

Morgan Barkley: 100m, 400m and running long jump

Holly Gibbs: 1600m

Sean Ingram: 400m and 800m

Parker Nail: 800m

10 and under girls and boys

Haley Smith: 800m, 1600m and running long jump

Mackenzie Nail: 800m and 1600m

Ryan Hamill: 800m and 1600m

Ian Roberts: 1600m

12 and under boys

Dylan Boyce: 200m, 400m and standing long jump

David Hewson: 800m and high jump

Zachary Laskey: 800m and 1600m

Austin Vorwald: 1600m and high jump

14 and under girls

Mary Roberts: 800m and 1600m
