Finishing one and two in the region and holding the second and fourth spots in the state, it should be no surprise that McIntosh and Starr’s Mill’s varsity girls soccer teams have a number of players on the all-region team. This team was voted on by the coaches of Region 4-AAAAA based on the player’s performances during the season. Eight coaches participated in the voting. All first team players received votes from at least half of the participating coaches.

The following McIntosh Lady Chiefs were named to the first team: Defender Joni Vickers, Midfielder Katie Schulz and Forward Jesse Lenze. Defender Annie Nacke and Midfielder Monica Hogan received honorable mentions. For Starr’s Mill, Midfielders Beth Meadors and Tannah Castro and Forwards Kelley O’Hara and Shelley Wegryzyn were named to the first team. O’Hara was also named Region 4-AAAAA MVP.
