Tigers Soccer Camp rolls again this summer

Ben Thacker, head boys soccer coach at Fayette County High School, will again be conducting the Tigers Soccer Camps this summer. Two sessions will be for field players during June 7-10 and a goalkeeper camp will be held June 14-17.

Boys and girls from grades 1-8 are invited to attend. Registration forms may be obtained from Fayette County High School and from the Community School offices or by sending an e-mail to Coach Thacker at thacker.ben@fcboe.org.

Grades 1-5 will have their soccer camp June 7-10 from 9 a.m.-noon. Grades 6-8 will meet June 7-10 from 5-8 p.m. Aspiring goalkeepers ages 9-15 will meet June 14-17 from 9 -11:30 a.m. The camps will take place at Fayette County High School’s upper field at Tiger Stadium.

Campers are asked to bring a soccer ball, a water bottle and sunscreen. Campers will receive instruction in the fundamentals of the game of soccer (passing, shooting, dribbling, defending) leading up to small sided games. Each player will receive encouragement and have fun regardless of their skill level. Campers will receive a Tigers Soccer Camp T-shirt.

The fee for the camp is $75 per session.
