A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Friday morning for Fayetteville’s new Law Enforcement Center. A Riverdale man escaped serious injuries in a motorcycle accident last weekend in downtown Fayetteville. Fayetteville residents now have electronic access to the same information provided to City Council members before each meeting. Although the Blockbuster video store at Banks Station in Fayetteville closed several weeks ago, the store will soon be open again with a new name. It probably wasn’t even on the map that the Fayette County Tigers varsity soccer team could compete for a region title this year. In fact, it probably wasn’t even in the glove compartment. A developer wants to rezone residential property at the corner of Ga. Highway 54 West and Grady Avenue for a 24,000 sq. ft. retail center. By DR. KNOX HERNDON
