Student art contest deadline May 8

Students in Fayetteville schools are being invited to participate in the Fayetteville Celebrates America art contest.

Wal-Mart has donated a computer to be given away as the grand prize. The contest is open to students in all grade levels.

The winning artwork may be used on promotional materials for the Fayetteville Celebrates America campaign in addition to T-shirts.

The deadline is May 8. Submissions must be dropped off or mailed to Nancy Price at Fayetteville City Hall at 240 S. Glynn St.

The contest winner will be announced at the May 29 Memorial Day tribute concert featuring the Atlanta Pops Orchestra at the Villages Amphitheater.
