Mortensen signs with Arkansas Landmark Christian School quarterback Alex Mortensen has signed a letter of intent to play football for the University of Arkansas this fall. Mortensen passed for more than 2,500 yards and 29 touchdowns as a senior for the War Eagles, who reached the second round of the state playoffs. In his career he has thrown for well over 5,000 yards and rushed and passed for more than 60 touchdowns. As a three year starter, Mortensen led the Landmark program to a 29-7 record, two region championships, and a home record of 17-1. Head coach Kenny Dallas called Mortensen an outstanding young man who has maximized his God-given talents with an outstanding work ethic and dedication to excellence. Mortensen has been a student at Landmark for 9 years.
