Candidate accepts offer to manage Falcon Field By JOHN MUNFORD Falcon Field has a new manager now that the candidate picked by the Peachtree City Airport Authority has formally accepted the position. John W. Crosby of Blue Ridge will assume his duties April 5, officials said. He was the authoritys first selection from a field of more than 60 applicants. Since the departure last year of former airport manager Jim Savage, assistant airport manager Drew Bolton has served as interim manager. Crosby, who was semi-retired, last served as aviation director of Concord Regional Airport in North Carolina. He helped design and layout the airport in its early stages, oversaw construction and helped develop it into a major business center serving the NASCAR industry and its aviaiton needs. After five years of operation, Concord became the fourth busiest airport in the state. Crosby has a bachelors degree in aviation management from Auburn University and a masters degree from Central Michigan University in personnel administration. Crosby and his family will be relocating to Peachtree City, officials said.
