Drake concert set for Sunday at Grace Evangelical Church

Featuring music, video, dance, drama, testimony and prayer, “Face to Face,” a Christian worship event will be presented by singer and keyboard player Bill Drake on Sunday, March 21, at 6.30 p.m. at Grace Evangelical Church, 164 Flat Creek Trail between Fayetteville and Peachtree City. Admission is free.

Drake and the Creative Ministries team of international Christian mission agency Operation Mobilization (OM) will present an evening of worship through music and creative arts. The event has a global focus and includes multimedia presentations and prayer for various global needs.

Drake is OM’s International music minister and has recorded six CDs of original music and a compilation of music videos. He and his team are based at OM’s USA office in Tyrone.

As well as touring in the US, the group has taken its multimedia productions to the UK, Australia, South Africa and many countries in Europe.

Abused and emotionally abandoned as a child, Drake says he spiraled towards teenage suicide. At 19 he met a group of Christians who challenged him to consider faith and find a purpose for his broken life. Finally, at the end of his own resources, Drake says he sat on the edge of his bed and prayed a two-word prayer: “I surrender.” From that moment, he says, his life was turned around, and he dedicated his musical talents to God.

He has worked with OM for 13 years, 10 of those based in London, England.

Drake ministers in churches, colleges and other groups, leading people into worship and also “giving a strong challenge to live wholeheartedly for God and become involved in what He is doing around the world.” He says this combination impacts lives wherever he ministers.

Drake is available through his ministry to churches, leading worship and “teaching from the Word,” leading concerts of worship and prayer, and conducting worship seminars.
