Deputies drop the ball on molestation charge

I feel I must speak out and inform the citizens of our country just how the sheriff’s office handles criminal offenses.

My daughter was sexually molested recently. We know who the offender is, and charges were filed. An investigation was launched and an arrest warrant was issued. We tracked down the offender ourselves and gave the information to the detective in charge of the case.

What did he do? He simply calls and tells the man to turn himself in. The predictable thing happened: He ran.

We tracked him down again. Gave the information to the sheriff’s office, and they have done nothing.

This is a department that doesn’t blink to spend thousands and thousands of taxpayers’ dollars on an unneeded helicopter yet it will not send one officer to pick up a criminal. We even track the accused molester down for them.

Citizens of Fayette, this is how your tax dollars are being spent. A child molester is walking the streets and the sheriff rides around in a helicopter.
