Gay marriage: It’s about timeThank you, Michael Boylan, for the having the sense, the compassion and the backbone to point out that gay marriage is not an attack on heterosexual marriage. Why should it be? Do their rights automatically detract from our own? No. Are we going to go about our daily lives any differently knowing that two more people (male or female) are happy in a relationship? No. The one possible political outcome is that marriage will afford gay couples the same legitimacy given to their heterosexual neighbors, and all the attendant rights regarding taxes, health care and decision making for their partners.
