Lutheran midweek Lenten services offered

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will offer midweek services during Lent on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday evenings. Wednesday services will be from 12:15-12:50 p.m., while Thursday services will be from 7-7:35 p.m. The theme for the season will be “On That Night,” recounting events from the night of Jesus’ arrest. Hymns, prayers and a dramatic monologue are planned for all the services. On March 3-4 the focus of the services will be “The Plot,” and the character will be Caiaphas, the High Priest. All are welcome

Fayette Presbyterian offers special program

Grace Christian School to hold open house

Grace Christian Academy will host an open house on Thursday, Feb. 26 from 6-8 p.m. Families with students enrolling in four- year-old kindergarten through 10th grades for the fall school year are invited to attend. Information will be made available on classes, enrollment, tuition, and curriculum. Grace Christian Academy is located at Fayette Bible Church on McDonough Road in Fayetteville. ‘Dating boundaries’ class offered in PTC

The Agape Road Sunday School Class at Peachtree City United Methodist Church will offer a 12-week study entitled “Boundaries in Dating,” designed to meet the needs of single parents, beginning Sunday, Feb. 29 at 9:30 a.m. in room 308. Antioch Baptist plans homecoming March 7

Antioch Baptist Church on Brooks Woolsey Road in Fayetteville, will celebrate its 175th Homecoming/Anniversary Sunday, March 7. The celebration will include special musical performances by Antioch’s Praise Team and Joe and Kim Stanley, a barbecue dinner, and a special message by Pastor Jerry Garner. Following the dinner, the group will return to the sanctuary for some southern gospel music and a performance by “Sounds of Grace” from LaGrange. The community is invited to attend.

‘Jews and Jesus’ seminar offered at FFUMC

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will host “Jews & Jesus: Questions You’d Like to Ask” on Sunday, March 7, from 5-6: p.m. in the chapel. Guest speaker David Zauber, former rabbi and current director of the “Jewish Believers In Jesus”, will lead a question and answer seminar focusing on questions regarding the Jewish faith and its relation to Christianity. Ronnie Hinson to appear in Hampton

Award winning songwriter and southern gospel singer Ronny Hinson, of the former gospel singing group “The Original Hinsons,” will be in concert Saturday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God, 805 Ga Hwy 3 North, Hampton. Mother’s Morning Out registration now open

Registration for the Mother’s Morning Out and preschool programs at Providence United Methodist Church is now open and classes are filling up quickly.
