Local exec spearheads Girl Scouts' annual corporate campaign Delta Air Lines executive Sharon Wibben of Newnan kicked off this month the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia's corporate and foundation annual campaign to raise more than a quarter million dollars for the council's 2003-04 annual fund. The funds are used to make Girl Scouting available to all girls. "The organization taught me a lot about values, goals and friendship," said Wibben. "I feel it's only right that I try to give something back to them and our community." Wibben, senior vice president of In-Flight Service at Delta and board member of the Girl Scout Council for three years, created a team of 11 volunteers who are committed to the Girl Scout mission of helping girls grow strong. Other Delta staff members involved in the campaign include: Jorge Fernandez, director - Latin America & Caribbean; Alarie Prothro, manager - Domestic Programs & Procedures; David Paule, general manager Strategic Planning; PeggySue Marquez, project manager - IFS Field Operations; Cheryl Scales, director - IFS Customer Satisfaction; John Wickson, director - International Network Analysis; Jacqueline Yeaney, managing director - Consumer Marketing; Anne Corry, director - IFS Performance Systems; Ansley Jones, general manager - Global Diversity/Community Affairs; Ann Papayoti, project manager - Global Diversity & Community Affairs; and Faye Brown, facilitator II, IFS Learning. The campaign runs through June 30.
