Religion Briefs Crossroads Christian School schedules open house Crossroads Christian School, a covenant school in the Charlotte Mason tradition, will host an open house Saturday, Feb. 21 from 2-4 p.m., and also on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 6-7 p.m. at its Grace Evangelical Church campus, 164 Flat Creek Trail in Fayetteville. CDM to host ‘Brag on God’ meeting Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM) in Fairburn will host a ‘Brag on God’ meeting Sunday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. No nursery or childcare will be provided. The meetings are held one Sunday evening each month and include a time of prayer, praise, worship and “bragging on the goodness of God.” CDM is at 114 W. Campbellton St. in Fairburn. Providence UMC plans Ash Wednesday service Providence United Methodist Church will have a Mardi Gras dinner followed by an Ash Wednesday service Feb. 25 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The service will begin at 7 p.m. Providence is on Bernhard Rd. in south Fayette County. Bethany prepares for Ash Wednesday service Members of Bethany United Methodist Church will have an Ash Wednesday service Wednesday, Feb. 25, beginning with a dinner at 6:15 p.m., followed by the service. The service will be brief and will include the imposition of ashes. So that all age levels may participate, there will be no youth or children’s programs scheduled that evening. Ash Wednesday services set at Christ Our Hope Christ Our Hope Lutheran Church in Riverdale will have two services on Ash Wednesday, to mark the beginning of the Lenten season.
