Charter now offering Christian oriented program on channel 10

Linda Jennings and Maggie Murphy are co-hosts for a new Christian television program called “Tea With Maggie and Linda,” which began airing on Charter Communication’s cable channel 10 yesterday. The show is broadcast Monday through Saturday at 11 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m.

The show will feature teachings, book reviews and ministry interviews, and will focus on the deeper Christian life.

Murphy, an ordained minister, is the daughter of the Rev. Clinton Melson, who pastors four local baptist churches: Shiloh in Hogansville; Mount Calvary in Madras; Macedonia in Luthersville; and Bethel Heard in Heard County. She is assistant pastor for Bethel Heard, teaches several Bible studies, and ministers locally as a guest speaker.

Jennings, also an ordained minister, is the former president of Ships at Sea, a phase two Christ-centered drug rehabilitation program. She was assistant pastor for New Macedonia and Shady Grove Baptist churches. She now attends Jones Chapel United Methodist Church and is president of Living Word World Outreach and Body of Christ Ministries. She ministers locally and out of state.

“We hope to introduce books and ministries that may not be readily known, but which will be valuable resources for those hungry for the deeper things of faith,” Jennings said. “Grab a cup of tea and join us.”

Either Murphy or Jennings may be reached at Bodyof Christ@Charter.net.
